New Medion netbbooks - Medion Akoya E6215 with 500GB hard disc capacity

Sorry, this is not new Acer netbook but a new netbook under a small laptop maker. Akoya E6215 made by Medion, which equipped this new netbook with Intel Core i3 mobile processors, amazingly provides 500GB for hard disc storage capacity.

The usual HDD capacity for normal netbook are in 160GB but Medion Akoya E6215 provides larger capacity, I bet in double amount. You can enjoy high speed USB 3.0 devices via a express card entrance at one side of this netbook, an another advantage compared to established, branded netbooks which have no express card slot for USB 3.0 transition.

Acer laptops - new eMachine EM350 netbook with Windows Xp

eMachine is a new brand name in netbook market, actually eMachine is a subsidiary of Acer (2nd largest computer maker in the world). eMachine introduced their new netbook code named eMachine EM350.

The netbook installed with Windows XP operating system, which in my experience operates faster compared to Windows 7 starter edition when in a netbook. The processor for eMachine EM350 netbook is Intel Atom N450, comes together with Wifi driver (802.11b/g/n WiFi) surely added with Acer's SignalUp technology, USB ports for external plug and play devices, 10 inch dipslay screen, 1GB RAM.

The hardware specification is much alike with Acer Aspire One's hardware, upgradeable by eMachine EM350 user as an option. My respon, anything comes out from eMachine is a lot cheaper than Aspire laptops, giving huge advantage for any laptop buyer with small budget but with big hunger to get connected into the internet.

I dont know what reason pushes Acer to produce a new netbook under eMachine brand while Acer already gained strong market hold and user trust via Acer Aspire One laptops. If compare to Dell Inspiron Mini 10 or Samsung NC10, Aspire One netbook is much popular here in Malaysia, with eMachine EM350 netbook, Acer tries to dig deeper.

Quanta Computers get $97 millions selling laptops

Quanta Computers, the biggest laptop maker (by contract) gained profit of $97 millions on April 2010 after successfully shipped 4.5 million notebook computers in the same month. The record is the highest, beating well known laptop makers such as Acer, Dell, HP, Sony. Dell in the largest computer maker in the world, this crowned as the richest computer maker on the planet, but this latest news doubt it all. Dell has a new rival now.

Acer laptops - Acer Aspire One 532

Acer introduces their new netbook (a small laptop) called Acer Aspire One 532. This cute little laptop has long battery life, up to 10 hours.

Acer Aspire One 532 installed with Windows 7 (starter pack) operating system, which the disadvantage is the OS does not allow you to change background image. I recommend you change the operating systom to Windows Xp (service pack 3) for more customization and for more speed.

Acer Aspire One 532 processor chip is Intel Atom N450, its has WiFi wireless internet detector to enable you get connected into the internet anywhre you go. More, this laptop has optional 3G configuration, an added feature just like I saw in Nokia Booklet 3G.

If you are a small laptop user who prefers style and colorful design, Acer Aspire One 532 has three optional body color for you to choose - black, silver and red. I prefer the black color.

Intel PineView new processor replacing Atom processor

Intel, the famous processor chip maker is currently working on secret project to produce latest version of its Atom chips used widely in netbooks nowadays. Intel said that new processor was code named as "Pineview". It works by combining performance power with graphic power, mixing it and keeping them alive and available just on one single chip.

The effect? Adds more big multitasking power on small netbooks, using lower electric consumption than its level now. Most netbooks use a single chip for performance and the another one used to handle graphic.

I guess the name does it all. A pine tree is tall (mimicks high performance) and View (means we can get sharp graphic with less battery usage). In year 2010 we will meet with netbook that has 12-15 hours battery life. Eventhough Intel was being sued by New York city, it doesnt stop their creativity in creating faster chip to make our life easier.

Dell laptops-Dell Adamo XPS launched officially sold at $1799

Here's the news laptop lovers are waiting for! Finally, Dell lauched their thinnest laptop ever, Adamo XPS. Dell Adamo XPS was created for Dell as laptop maker to compete with Apple MacBook Air, which becomes the first thinnest laptop in the world. Now, Sony Vaio X was being created by Sony to compete side-by-side with Dell Adamo XPS, which Sony claims as "thinnest laptop in the world".

The new Dell Adamo XPS sold at starting price of $1,799 eventhough several months ago Dell say they will sell Adamo XPS at $2,000. Dell Adamo XPS installed with Windows 7 64-bit OS, and its overall thickness is only at 0.4 inch with 13.4-inch screen size, total weights more than 3 pounds. Sony laptops-Sony Vaio X review

Sony Vaio X has think design, skinny and flat. No curvy corner like Apple MacBook air. The touchpad was removed on Vaio X505 model, substituted with traditional, old design pointer joystick like we see in old time laptops during the year 1999-2000. Some Vaio X model still has touchpad on it.

Its keyboard was invented using latest design, the "scrabble" keyboard - each keyboard characters are separated between 1-2mm each, making it easy to be cleaned from dush and small ashes. You will make some typo mistakes during the early days you use it, but your finger will allign properly with the keyboard position.

Luckily its touchpad button still available in the bottom of the keyboard not in left or right side, like most latest netbook laptops. Sony heard what its user demanded! Sony Vaio X has 2 HighSpeed USB 2.0 ports in its left side, along with LAN port and exhaust air vent for its cooling syste. Its connectivity options similar to other laptops - Bluetooth, Wifi, you know the deal.

Its a very suitable netbook laptop for anyone who love thin design like Apple MacBook Air or Dell Adamo. But, its so sentisive like other thin laptop does, so take care of it well. Its so durable to heavy vibration or heavy shock - you need to put it always on top because for me, Sony Vaio X looks fragile.

Sony Vaio X is my favorite, at this time i have no money to buy it. My dream is, someday i wanna but Sony Vaio X and i will write best review to help you get the best out of any new laptop we have come accross.

VIA Nano 3000 chip is latest rival to Intel Atom processor chip

Intel Atom processor has a new rival. VIA, a Taiwan tech company also focusing in production of processor chip created a new chip for netbook laptops that works as the same capacity as Intel Atom processor. VIA latest processor was named VIA Nano 3000 CPU series, launced officially on 3 November 2009. It also works in notebook laptops and dekstop PC.

Intel Atom processor widely used as processor new in latest netbooks from famous brands of laptop makers such as Acer, Sony, Fujitsu, Toshiba, Lenovo, Dell and Hp. Before this, the closet rival of Intel Atom is AMD Neo X2 chip. VIA said in their press relese that the chip will deliver more computing experience, lower power consumption. I will wait for VIA Neo chip powered netbooks, maybe in cheper than current netbook's price.

Toshiba laptops-latest Toshiba Mini NB205 netbook review

This version of latest Toshiba laptop were produced after first Toshiba's netbook laptop, the Toshiba Mini NB200 that i've reviewed before. Toshiba Mini NB205 comes with Windows 7 and its battery life can last for 9 hours long using light 6-cells battery. This is the first netbook laptop i've found installed with Windows 7, a starter edition of Windows 7 to be exact.

Toshiba Mini NB205 uses Intel Atom processor chip with 1.66Ghz processor speed, 1 GB of DDR2 RAM, 250GB solid state drive hard disc with anti-shock technology. Most of its other hardware specification matches exactly with its older brother, the Toshiba Mini NB200.

Toshiba Mini NB205 has full QWERTY keyboard and 3 inch touchpad. Its touchpad button sits still at the bottom, not on the left and the right like certain model of netbook laptops that i've found such as Gigabyte Booktop.

There's only one digital speaker on this laptop, located at the front side whhile many other netbook laptop puts their speaker on the upper side of the keyboard, Toshiba Mini NB205 do otherwise. The sound effect may not be satisfactory for its user.

If you want to feel Windows 7 on a netbook, i suggest you to try out Toshiba Mini NB205. It has minimal OS feature compared to paid version of Windows 7 but it worth a try. You cant change wallpaper's image either unless you install full version of Windows 7 operating system.

I suggest you to use open source software in Toshiba Mini NB205 to make it runs faster, instead of Microsoft Live application software. Installing Windows 7 into any netbook laptops will make its overall performance go down.

Toshiba Mini NB205 takes more than 1 minute to load, while Toshiba Mini NB200 laptop takes less than 15 seconds to load. Looks like the big and new Windows 7 is a heavy burden for small netbook laptops.

If you own a netbook laptop, i dont suggest you to install Windows 7 into your netbook, just use the good old Windows Xp. Update its to service pack 3, you can change the Windows Xp theme into Windows Vista theme and vice-versa.

You can download third party software that installs Windows 7 theme in your laptop. Warning - the software will reduce laptop speed during startup unless you upgrade RAM amount.

Lenovo laptops-Lenovo IdeaPad S10-2 review

Lenovo IdeaPad S10-2 is latest netbook laptop from Lenovo after previous versio - the IdeaPad S10. You can call it sub-netbook, a small size notebook without its optical drive. What's new? Lenovo IdeaPad S10-2 has four-in-one memory card reader that supports SD cards, MMC cards, MS or MS pro cardsor . It has 3 HighSpeed USB 2.0, while other standard netbook laptops has 2 HighSpeed USB 2.o ports. I was waiting for SuperSpeed USB 3.0 to be found in a netbook.

These two netbook laptop comes with 3 USB 2.0 ports, 4-in-1 card reader and energy management software, a multi-touch pad, various color options to choose from.

Litl Easel laptop - Litl Easel netbook with rare operating sytem

This netbook laptop is different. Litl Easel laptop is a 12 inch laptop with rare operating system, Linux customized version to be exact.

It has 2GB internal flash memory as main storage and 1GB RAM memory. There is no hard disc storage or solid state drive disc storage installed inside Litl Easel laptop. Weird huh?

Its processor is Intel Atom Z450 with processor speed at 1.86GHz. Litl Easel laptop screen has 1,280×800-pixel screen resolution and a HDMI video output.

The screen can be rotated 180 degress, not just stands still at 90 degress like most netbook laptops. Litl Easel has 802.11g Wi-Fi driver for quick internet access, infra-red receiver, total weight at 1.53kg.

I was not quite sure if Litl Easel laptop is a prototyple laptop in netbook class. But, what i really sure is, Litl Easel laptop was designed to be used mostly as mobile internet device. Price and official vendor together with official specification still a secret.

Samsung NC10 is similar to other laptop in netbook class. Its keyboard is glossy, full sized QWERTY keyboard. I think i saw an Acer Aspire One at the first time my eyes look onto the image of Samsung NC10. The white color is stunning, catchy and attractive. Maybe thats why Apple MacBook is colored in white.

No new technology in Samsung NC10 netbook laptop. Its overall performance is just the same i found in other netbook laptops because all of them are using the same Intel Atom N270 processor with the same processor speed. If you love Samsung products and you prefer Samsung brand name in everything you own, i think this laptop suits you.

For Samsung lovers, Samsung NC10 is just like a gift from heaven. Before this we can only see Samsung monitors, HD TVs and Samsung mobile phones. Now we got a chance to see (maybe buy!) Samsung Samsung NC10, first laptop made by Samsung in netbook class.

Netbook laptops are popular nowadays and sells fast from the perspective of a laptop maker, maybe that is why Samsung produce their first laptop in netbook class with a stunning design. Samsung NC10 price starts at $399 US Dollar (RM1,369.50 Malaysian Ringgit) the highest price is $499 (RM1,746.50 Malaysian Ringgit).

At this time of writing, Samsung NC10 still rarely availabe in many Malaysian computer shops - because they are full with Acer Aspire One laptops!

For some people, netbook makes their life easier - they can do quick computing job anywhere and anytime on 7 hours battery life. The small sized netbook make it easier to carry anywhere.

You dont have to bring bulky, big laptop bag or laptop case anywhere you go. Just pack the netbook laptop in the bag, sure its small size fits into any bag, even a school bag.

Yes, i dare to say netbook laptops has a very bright future and has a fresh, big untouched market.
