Lenovo laptops - Lenovo ThinkPad X300 laptop is no more

Lenovo, the company who purchased the ThinkPad brand from IBM will stop manufacturing ThinkPad X300 laptops. The move due to the low demand of Thinkpad X300 series. Lenovo is focusing more on selling their other laptops brand especially in ThinkPad T410 class. Lenovo still maintains the square shapes of Thinkpad laptops started by IBM.

Lenovo IdeaPad U150 sold at $699 with 4 weeks shipment period

Good news for Lenovo laptop lovers accross United States. Lenovo IdeaPad U150, the new laptop series is now ready to receive order from all over America. Lenovo IdeaPad U150 series available in two different series, the IdeaPad U150 690968U (red, priced at $699) and IdeaPad U150 690969U (black, $849). If you order the first model in red, you will have to wait for a month (4 weeks) or even more according to your location.

But, if you purchased the black model, you will only wait for 16 days for the laptop to arrive. Small difference in laptop price really make huge impact especially in waiting time. I think this "price" strategy gives bad business image to laptop buyers, especially potential laptop buyers who cant afford to pay $849. Doesnt mean if somone buy cheap laptop the he/she deserve the long time period of shipment. What is the meaning of this? Lenovo kinda doing bad business.

Lenovo IdeaPad U110 2GB RAM Core 2 Duo processor

Lenovo IdeaPad U110 is a netbook in Lenovo's U series focused for young boys and young girls who prefers quick internet connection anywhere they go. If you ask me what is the difference between IdeaPad and ThinkPad, actually IdeaPad brand consists of small sized netbooks without its optical driver, you know already. If you prefer to use an optical drive, Lenovo IdeaPad has an external multiburner drive weighted at 390 grams. About the multimedia capabilities, Lenovo IdeaPad has Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, 11 inch WXGA LCD screen using 1366x768 resolution, internal sereo spekers boosted by Realtek High Definition Audio application, speaker/earphone/headphone jack, a microphone jack, webcam and 6-in-1 memory card reader. Not bad for a small laptop, because it also has express card slot, VGA port, 7-cell LithiumIon battery.

For Lenovo lovers, ThinkPad category laptops are business laptops and full sized laptops not small sized netbook laptop. Lenovo revised its product by introducing new laptop in netbook class, guest what? Its name was Lenovo ThinkPad X100 scheduled to be out on January 5 2010, as reported by UberGizmo blog. Lenovo ThinkPad X100 guessed to be an entry level netbook laptop focused for youths and IT pro who prefers quick, light mobile computing on the move. Its offical specs has not come out yet but internet users rumoured that Lenovo ThinkPad X100 will install Intel's CULV processor chip, the Intel Celeron 2.

Lenovo is currently 4th largest laptop brand in the world. Dell is the first largest laptop brand in the world, Acer is the second, Hp along Asus gains the third. Lenovo laptops-new laptop and ThinkPad arrives in December 2009

Lenovo will target East Asia consumer market to promote "Windows 7 Lenovo Enhanced Experience" a special Windows 7 certification exclusively given to Lenovo laptops user in Thailand and other East Asian countries. Windows 7 Lenovo Enhanced experience will give Lenovo laptop user a variety of useful tools, powerful features, system performance tuning and system optimization tools.

Using those tools from Lenovo will enable their laptops to has faster booting process and faster shutdown process, 50 percent higher than non-optimised laptops. However, the same technology will not be available in other branded laptops aside than Lenovo's ThinkPad and IdeaPad. News report from BangkokPost said that Lenovo will start their marketing campaign in Thailand first before doing the same strategy in other East Asian country such as Malaysia.

Many available Lenovo laptop was installed with Windows Vista. To enjoy performance tools in Windows 7, they must upgrade to Windows 7 first, either in home premium version, business version or professional version.
