Lenovo, the company who purchased the ThinkPad brand from IBM will stop manufacturing ThinkPad X300 laptops. The move due to the low demand of Thinkpad X300 series. Lenovo is focusing more on selling their other laptops brand especially in ThinkPad T410 class. Lenovo still maintains the square shapes of Thinkpad laptops started by IBM.
