Lenovo will target East Asia consumer market to promote "Windows 7 Lenovo Enhanced Experience" a special Windows 7 certification exclusively given to Lenovo laptops user in Thailand and other East Asian countries. Windows 7 Lenovo Enhanced experience will give Lenovo laptop user a variety of useful tools, powerful features, system performance tuning and system optimization tools.
Using those tools from Lenovo will enable their laptops to has faster booting process and faster shutdown process, 50 percent higher than non-optimised laptops. However, the same technology will not be available in other branded laptops aside than Lenovo's ThinkPad and IdeaPad. News report from BangkokPost said that Lenovo will start their marketing campaign in Thailand first before doing the same strategy in other East Asian country such as Malaysia.
Many available Lenovo laptop was installed with Windows Vista. To enjoy performance tools in Windows 7, they must upgrade to Windows 7 first, either in home premium version, business version or professional version.
