By default in Windows XP, the operating system will put a language setting link in the Taskbar, the exact position is in the right side of computer clock and the active system icons (such as your antivirus icon, graphic system icon, volume control icon). Disabling the text services will make your system loads up faster.
Here's what you need to do to disable the text services and input language feature.
1. Click on the Options button, the one below Restore button. You will found this button when you hover your mouse pointer on the text services link.
2. A menu box will appear. You will see several commands in this menu box such as Help, Adjust the language band position, Setting, Restore Defaults. Please click to Setting to turn of the text and language service.
3. After you click on the 'Settng' menu, another small window will appear. It titles 'Text Services and Input Languages'. You will see two different tabs in here. First tab is 'Settings' while the second tab is 'Advanced'. Click to 'Advanced' tab.
4. In the 'Advance' tab you will see two check boxes. Please click on a check box tagged with 'Turn off advanced text services'. Click 'Apply' button and then click 'OK' button.
You are done. The text services and input language button will no longer displayed in the small spot besides your taskbar icons.
