You screen may full with icons, most of them are unused, or rarely being used as shortcut to programs installed in your computer. You want to delete them to minimize their number. But you dont know what is an icon and how to identify it.
Step 1: identify the icon.
To identofy an icon, they usuallt have a small arrow in the bottom left corner. This is a default setting for any icon on Windows powered computers.
Another way to identify an icon is to right click on the logo, then click to Properties, after that a dialog box will appear telling us what is the thing we are clicking on. The defaut setting will tell us it is a shortcut,a and in the Properties box, you will see a full link to the icon's target (a program's executable file).
Step 2: Quick delete the icon.
When you finally have identify is it an icon or another digital file stored on your Desktop, you can delete it in merely a second. TO do this, click on the icon. Then press SHIFT + Delete key on your keyboard. This is a keyboard shortcut for quick delete on any digital file (icons included)
The icon will be deleted directly without being thrown into Recycle Bin first just like normal deleting process. This trick allows you to delete icon faster than before in just 2 steps - select and delete using keyboard shortcut (shift + delete).
