iHome designed a docking port for Apple iPad tablet laptop (as the charging station, an alarm clock, a digital clock) that has Bluetooth connectivity comaptible with another Apple's devices such as iPhone, iPod. The device connects into your iPad via Bluetooth, means no wires needed.
You can set your iPad as an alarm clock using iHome+Sleep application built within the dock. You can also set customized alarms for alerts from your chosen social site, for weather changes and for latest news, when there is new things available right from your iPad tablet laptop. You will get sound alerts when your friends posted new Facebook wall messages, for example.
