ABI Research, a company specialized in doing market research produced a report on netbook sales, which focused for year 2008. Its senior analyst, Jeff Orr said 74% of netbooks sales are coming from the 3 top laptop brands - Acer, Asus, Samsung as stated in ITManagement website. For me that report does not makes me wonder only one thing, I wonder why Samsung becomes third largest netbook seller. I assume Hp will get that 3rd title, but I"m wrong!.
Asus is the first tech company who produce the earliest netbook version in the world called by name Asus Eee PC installed uses Linux OS and has only 10GB HDD storage capacity. Acer? No wonder too, because Acer has regional office almost in each country in the world including Malaysia. Just like I said before, most Malaysian youth and pro workers choose to use Acer until Acer being called as "underdog" laptop - they are cheap and widely used.
