Sony Optiarc America introduces new slim USB DVD/CD optical driver to be used together with netbook and other computer device that supports USB. This slim optical drive from Sony still unpriced and we still dont have any news source to read how much the price is, we couldnt get the product code too.
About what it can delivers, it can read DVD/CD, burn DVDs up to 8x writing speed, can also burn data, images, songs and any digital files onto a dual layer DVD/CD or any optical media alike. This slim and small external driver maybe expensive, maybe sold in standard price because netbooks usually sold at low price.
If the driver really aimed for netbook user, then the price must be reasonable. Or else. Sony will loose the market to much low priced external driver that can deliver same load capacity only lack in brand popularity.
