iPad Accessories - Camera Connection Kit
If you want to sync you iPad with your camera, this iPad accessory comes in handy. The Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit enable you to transfer any image (HD format or usual JPG format) stored within your digital camera into your iPad. To start using this accessory, plug the Camera Connection Kit into the dock connector port on your iPad, then attach your digital camera to the USB cable connected to the iPad Connection Kit (sadly iPhone 3Gs is not supported by this device).
iPad will automatically detects the connection and will open up the Photos app for you, this app is useful because it organizes image and video detected from your digital camera memory. Photos app will let you choose which images or videos to copy into your iPad. This process called as 'importing'.
Another way to import images and videos from your digital camera using Apple iPad Connection Kit is by using your camera's SD Memory Card. Take out the memory card from your digital camera.
Put the memory card into the slot in Camera Connection Kit. Then, plug it into the dock connector on your iPad. When done, iPad will automatically detects the connection just like the process above, then opens up Pictures app for you. When the app opened, you can view those images on your iPad screen then copying into your iPad memory. Wonderful, isnt it?
Be aware that iPad Connection Kit does not fully compatible with every digital camera especially digital camera produced 2006 and below. In the image above, the device on the left side is the Camera Connection Kit that uses USB to connect itself into your digital camera while the device on the right is the memory card reader for iPad.
