Lenovo IdeaPad U110 is a netbook in Lenovo's U series focused for young boys and young girls who prefers quick internet connection anywhere they go. If you ask me what is the difference between IdeaPad and ThinkPad, actually IdeaPad brand consists of small sized netbooks without its optical driver, you know already. Lenovo IdeaPad U110 installed with standard features availabe in many netbooks today. If compared to Acer, Vaio or BenQ JoyBook, i choose IdeaPad U110 because its design is cool, unique and makes me stand out from the crowd.
Lenovo IdeaPad U110 has 2GB RAM with 120GB hard disc drive, installed with Vista home premium, runs on Intel Core 2 Duo L7500 processor (low voltage) with speed at 1.60GHz to run different application all in the same time on screen. According to Intel, with low voltage processor like this you can run any 5 to 7 programs without using much electric power,thus saves more battery life, you can use the laptop 7-8 hours with only a single charge.
If you prefer to use an optical drive, Lenovo IdeaPad has an external multiburner drive weighted at 390 grams. About the multimedia capabilities, Lenovo IdeaPad has Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, 11 inch WXGA LCD screen using 1366x768 resolution, internal sereo spekers boosted by Realtek High Definition Audio application, speaker/earphone/headphone jack, a microphone jack, webcam and 6-in-1 memory card reader. Not bad for a small laptop, because it also has express card slot, VGA port, 7-cell LithiumIon battery.
IdeaPad U100 won several awards, they are Best of CES 2008 (Cnet website January 2008), Best of CES Notebook (by Laptop Magazine wesbite Jan 2008) and Best of CES 2008 (by ComputerShopper website Jan 2008).
Lenovo apps inserted into IdeaPad U110 are: Veriface 2.5 to make your face as your password (so that no one else can open this laptop except you!), APS software (Active Protection System) for protection for any security threats caused by humans, Lenovo Energy Management 3.1 for more energy management - saves you electricity bills, OneKey Recovery 4.6 for a quick system resurrection after recurring an unexpected error.
