How to speed up you laptop (for Windows laptops)

Want to make you laptop runs faster? Here several speed up guides for you:

1. Install more RAM.
If your laptop RAM is 1GB, buy one 2GB RAM stick and insert it into your laptop's RAM slot, usually located at the back side of the laptop making it owns 3GB RAM overall. Another trick is, buy 2 units of 2GB RAM memory stick and install them into your laptop. Inspect you RAM carefully, either it is DDR1, DDR2 or DDR3 before upgrading.

2. Defrag hard disc regularly.
I suggest you do hard disc defragment 3 times in a week - at Monday, Wednesday, Fiday. If you save a lot of data in your laptop and you do that everyday, defrag your laptop each 2 days for better performace. The defragment process will re-arrange laptop files, thus giving faster access to any files stored in there.

3. Use light antivirus.
Install Avast, AVG, Avira, BitDefender (free edition) or any free antivirus. Those antivirus are light and boot fast at startup, making your laptop runs faster. Uupdate the antivirus regurlaly. If not, the antivirus will not protect you securely from any attack made by new type of web virus.

4. Turn off the system restore.
To do this, go to Control Panel - system - System resotre. Click turn off. If a dialog box appear, click OK to confirm it. Turn off all automatic system in your laptop OS.

5. Use additional software.
I recommend TuneUp Utilities, Advanced Windows Care from Iobit.com and Ccleaner.
