USB3.0 will arrive soon here in Malaysia and we think it will spice up user PC market, as an additional advantage to USB2.0. The invention of USB 3.0 makes small storage such as thumb drive or flash drive become faster, saves a lot of time and energy. What makes USB 3.0 so special is the speed factor, it delivers larger bandwidth - up to 5 Gbits/s full duplex (compared to 480 Mbits/s simplex for USB 2.0) according to Embedded.com. Transferring 1GB movie file from a host, say a laptop, into a USB3.0 flash drive in 3.3 is not impossible anymore, compared to just 33 seconds using USB2.0. Maybe in the coming months we will see many thumb drives, USB broadband modems and flash drives comes with USB3.0 technology, only price matters.
