Galileo Mobility Instruments created a climbing robot that uses both wheels and tank tracks to move. From its shape and moving style, we can say this robot suits most as military unman vehicle, to save lives, act as a spy or surveillance device which you can put cameras and communication device on it. Or, maybe you can put Galileo Robot in your son's bedroom to watch either he is opening RedTube or reading Engadget.
Galileo Robot originally moves with 4 wheels but changed its tyres into tank tracks when encounters any blocks or any terrains. The developer says they want to use the technology gained from the robot to build an advanced wheel chair that can moves up the stairs and similar surfaces.
