Jailbreak software for iPhone 3GS has been created by 19 year old hacker named George Hotz, also called GeoHot. With the software, anyone can unlock a fully password protected, locked iPhone 3GS just by connecting it to any Windows computers to activate the software.
PurpleRa1n is the name of the jailbreak software, and has been updated by GeoHot with the help of two fellow coders. The updated version is compatible with Mac operating system, enable any user to unlock a fully protected iPhone 3GS from Mac laptops. This can give massive headache to Apple engineers. The burden to protect iPhone user was on their shoulder, to gain more trust and security from prospect buyers.
When the jailbreak software sold to public and fully available for anyone, means, average user includes school kids can unlock your iPhone 3GS. Be careful when someone, even your friend tries to borrow your iPhone becauase they can do something to it, maybe a harmful one to open up your saved files and important data, just to do silly jokes on you, or steal anything important without your consent.
