Google Operating System [ OS ] Revealed - Google Chrome OS

Months ago we read that Google is now working on its own operating system (OS) which is said to be Linux-based and will be distributed to public for FREE! Wow! That gets us really excited.

We take a sneak peak to offical GoogleBlog to read more information. VP Sundar Pichai and Engineering Director Linus wrote this, "Google Chrome OS is a new project, separate from Android." For you, we copied several info here from the blog, says:

"Android was designed from the beginning to work across a variety of devices from phones to set-top boxes to netbooks. Google Chrome OS is being created for people who spend most of their time on the Web, and is being designed to power computers ranging from small netbooks to full-size desktop systems. While there are areas where Google Chrome OS and Android overlap, we believe choice will drive innovation for the benefit of everyone, including Google."

No wonder why Google Chrome web browser has been recently updated, along with Mozilla Firefox who also upgrades Firefox to Firefox 3.5, surpassing previous Firefox 3.0 in speed and browsing security. Maybe Google will update Google Chrome to become faster browser real soon, using Java script engine technology borrowed from Mozilla Firefox, or maybe even from Apple's Safari 4 Java engine. The joint venture will make us, the user access the web faster than before, thus enable us to use Google web apps in many times than before.

We agree with an opinion says, Google try to bring people to use the internet and the web as the BIG operating system while Google web applications (such as Gmail, Docs, Maps, Earth, Blogger, Images, YouTube) will be the online programs, using Google Chrome web brower or any browser as a door, or the gateway.

Seems like Google's idea becomes reality, only have to be shaped in OEM offline form, hopefully Acer netbooks so they become a lot cheaper!!
