Gmail Basic Feature

Here is three Gmail features that differentiate Gmail from other free email out there.

1. Archive instead of delete, enable you to arrange inbox without delete anything directly from your inbox, just keep it away somewhere else. You can always search to find what you need or look in "All Mail. Use "search mail" button to search for any past information you want to get back into.

2. Chat and video chat, makes online webcam chat become availabe. Chat with your contacts directly within Gmail. You can even talk face-to-face with built-in video chat using Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger or Google Talk. Yahoo Mail now installs this feature in their email dashboard.

3. Labels instead of folders. Labels do the work of folders with an extra bonus where you can add more than one to an email. Usually we want to keep our past email in separate folders so can get back to those emails later.

But, this action will add up folders numbers in our email, such as 30 folders (or more!). Gmail makes it simpler by introducing labels. If you dont want to use labels, keep it in archieve. Dont worry, Gmail gives you free 1GB storage space (and counting).
