If you're using broaband internet connection and your computer installed with 256MB RAM and above, you dont have to wait for long.But, how about users with slow internet connection, GRPS line for instace? The automatic updates can slow them down. Now, you have to turn it off. If not, you will spend more than 2 minutes for update process to finish. This will make you wait longer. Here's the way to turn it off.
Open your Avast anti virus software. Click Avast! Setting and find Updates. Select the way you want the anti virus software to be updated, eihter by automatic or by manual. Click manual button. After that, the automatic update feature will be turned off. If your internet connection is fast, you can turn it on again by doing the same technique. Sometimes we tend to forget to update the virus database manually.
