With the latest technlogy in instant messaging, now you can chat instantly in Yahoo Messenger using your small mobile phone while you're on a ride in a bus, in family car or waiting for someone. How to do this?
Here's the guide. Make sure your mobile phone have a bulit in GPRS device or any 3G component. Because, those device are important in connecting your mobile phone from anywhere, anytime.
Connect to the web using GPRS 0r 3G connection (activate it first in your phone number account). Then, when your
homepage available, type this url in your mobile phone browser : http://m.yahoo.com or simply "m.yahoo.com"
After that, log in into your Yahoo Messenger account using your username and password. You can chat, buzz, wink, or LOL only by using mobile phone. Their avatars and picture can be seen as well, just like when you chat online using your computer.
How if your mobile phone is not supplied with GPRS or 3G device, or not built in with GPRS or 3G?
Here's the solution. You can chat by using sms messages by using Yahoo Messenger for sms service from Yahoo. Normal current charges apply.
How to set up for the first time?
Before you go out leaving your computer or before going somewhere, while still online, go to http://mobile.yahoo.com/messenger and type your mobile phone number in the given box. Or, go to http://mobile.yahoo.com/messenger/sms.
Not all countries are availabel with this service. But, Yahoo Messenger for sms service is current availabe in Malaysia, Brunei and most countries in South East Asia.
