As fas as i'm, concerned, Gmail's rival, the Yahoo Mail is using Norton Antivirus scanning feature to protect users' inbox from virus threats when they read emails online (at least they know which antivirus company that protects their email account from virus!)
Second, Google does not reveal the antivirus company that had developed antivirus program for Gmail. Many tech experts has searching and 'googling' for this information but cant find the right answer anywhere. Untl know we didnt know who makes antivirus program for the famous Gmail.
Third, the antivirus prevent Gmail users form sending executable files in the attachment, even it is not a dangerous one.
