From my deep inspection and pesonal analysis on Malaysian laptop market - trough reading, asking hundreds of Acer lovers, asking hundreds of non-Acer user on what make them decide to use a laptop other than Acer, visiting computer shop, browsing the trend of cheap laptops via Malaysian auction site.
Many computer shop will not acknowledge a girl who love to inspect new computer because they know girls are not heavy laptop user - boys did that. So each time i went into computer shops, those agressive selling people are girls like me too, at least i'm safe from being a victim of heavy sales pitch.
From what i see, Acer made laptops almost for anyone, for each computer user in each level of live. From bottom level to the top. From naughty teenage students to top CEO of a big company. Most computer shops has laptop service for Acer laptops and they say repairing an Acer laptop is easy and fast - because Acer's internal replacement parts for their laptop is easily available anywhere, at anytime.
Kudos to Acer. Reader's Digest Asian Edition included Acer laptops as most preferred laptop brand voted by their reader, which i suspect most of them are passionate and satisfied Acer user.
