Acer Iconia Tab A500 Android 3.2 Honeycomb

Acer Iconia Tab A500 tablet users will receive latest updates of the tablet's operating system, named Android 3.2 Honeycomb, during middle of August 2011. Acer Malaysia announced that Acer Android tablet laptops will get the updates starting from 25th August 2011, but in the later news, Acer Malaysia said that the scheduled release will be delayed several weeks later due to changes in Google's policy, the maker of Android operating system installed in Acer Iconia A500 tablet computer.

Acer's South Africa product manager Graham Braum said in latest news statement released by Tech Central: " “Our research has shown that the biggest buyers of tablets are women, and that they want a variety of options when it comes to a device’s appearance”.
