Google news Malaysia - 3 steps how to find Google News Malaysia edition

By default, Google News are being set to bring you to Google.com/news or news.google.com

That setting are for US residents, not for Malaysian residents. If you are looking for Google News Malaysia because you want to read latest news from Malaysia, here's the steps how to do it.

1. Via a click.

If Google Malaysia is your homepage, click on 'News' link (colored in blue) available on top left of your internet browser.

2. You will be directed automatically to Google.com.my, if you are in Malaysia.

Luckily, if you accessing your internet collection from any location within Malaysia or you are using Malaysian-registered internet provider (such as TmNet Streamyx for home and cyber cafe), Celcom Broadband or Digi Broadband) to surf the internet, Google News will redirect you to Google News Malaysia edition, located at news.google.com.my. The process will be done automatically within 1-3 seconds.

Notice 'dot my' domain name, that is the only factor differentiates Googole News U.S. edition between Google News Malaysia edition. If you are using Google Chrome, click the Tools icon (the one with spanar image), go to Options -> On startup -> Use Current. Google Chrome will remember the current site you opened (Google.com) as the main homepage each time you open it up.

If you are using Mozilla Firefox, you can change homepage setting by clicking Tools - Options - General - Startup - Homepage. Click the "Use Current Page' button. Firefox will remembers Google.com as your homepage. Each time you open up Firefox net time, the browser will open Google.com for you, not Google.com.my (Google Malaysia).

Turning into Google.com as your personal search homepage enable you to see new features that Google Malaysia still does not receive yet. Any site will 'see' you as non-Malaysian visitor.

This seetting is permanent, unless you change it.

Step 1: Always use blower to throw away dust.

Always clean up your internal part in the CPU every week, at least once in every 7 days. The CPU unit collects dust, it prevents from flowing out smoothly, making CPU unit becomes hotter.

The hot environment in the CPU unit damages the processor due to uncontrolled, collected heat. Be warned about this because it will cost you huge sum of money for replacement part. Just do not put the blower too close with the internal part in the CPU, especially the motherboard.

Step 2: Avoid to use wet towel.

The effect will be unwanted line on screen or several black 'dots', a sign of dead crystal display.

Pull out the cables and put each parts (the hard disc, processor fan, processor heat sink, the power supply, motherboard, RAM stick) on different spot on your table or on the floor. Spent time to clean each part one by one. You can do high quality cleaning of these parts, do it alone or with someone.

Do not use wet towel to clean up those part. Uses a soft tissue, a blower or small paint brush to clear away dust.

If you stay around Putrajaya, Malaysia, you can order your own Kad Raya Aidilfitri online from Green Fas Enterprise. Their service consists of a free deliverytoo just for customer around Putrajaya and places within 30km from their outlet.

From their blog, you can see 3 beautiful designs for their Kad Raya Aidilfitri. The designs is good, creative, stunning, designed with Malay 'feel' in it. However, you need to order your Kad Raya early. At the time I wrote this, today is 21 Ramadhan 1413 Hijriah, equals to 1 September 2010.

My friends and I saw a better, more beautiful design than this company offer, so I wonder, what factors that differentiates this company from Kad Raya seller around the town?

The site uses Flickr to display all designs of the their Kad Raya.

My opinion, it would be easier for the site visitor and Kad Raya buyers if they display each design in each blog post, so the visitor and the buyer does not have to open up slow Flickr page just to see the designs.

The blog has minimal articles and posts but has many advertisements especially in their main blog addressed at "KadRaya.net". This site need a lot, lot, lot of improvement.

People need information on Kad Raya Aidilfitri,who made it, meaning of the design on the Kad Raya and how to get it those cards within shortest time possible. The company, however, dont put this kind of info. Pity.

The company also opens up another Blogspot blog just for putting in an order form.

Sadly, when I clicked on the link named "Hubungi Kami" (contact us in English) the link brought me to Gmail's sign in page. The company wants to to contact them just by using Gmail, not other contact option.

I thought the link would brought me to a real time contact form. Looks like this company does not has real experience of doing business online.

Proof? No handphone number to display, no name of any staff for you to talk with by a phone call, no pictures of the real "Green Fas Enterprise" (I mean images of their sales premise) their real address is not displayed, their real boss picture are not availabe on the site, their real Google Maps location was not displayed too.

I really have a big doubt doing business with this company simply because I saw many holes of mistakes that tears down my trust on them as a first time visitor.

In Malaysia, buying stuffs online still becomes a big issue, especially on trust.

Could you trust this company?

No handphone number to be contacted, just an email for you to send to them (and an account number for you to insert payment to them!).
