PowerVR SGX543 is not so well known processor chip as we know like other graphic chip such as Intel Atom, GeForce 6. BUt, it will be used by Sony as graphic chip for their upcoming Playstation Portable 2 in year 2010. PSP2 (Playstation Portable 2) is not officially revealed yet by Sony for unknown reason, other than causes by the massive popularity gained by its PSP sibiling the new PSP Go plus the new 250GB PS3 game console.
Surely Sony dotn wanna spoil the smooth sales stream of PSP Go just by telling new PSP 2 will come out within next couple of monts. A project on building Sony PSP2 begun since 2008 started with Imagination Technologies (maker of Power SGX543 chip) ties up business deal with Sony to provide graphic chip for their secret PSP project. Previous version of Sony PSP was installed with only eDRAM graphic system.
