How To Turn Off Automatic Updates In Windows XP

There is two way for you to turn off Automatic updates in Windows XP.

1. Go to Control Panel -> Automatic Updates. When Automatic updates menu box appear, click Turn Off Automatic Updates button. Click OK for the change to take effect.

2. Go to My Computer icon on the Desktop. Right click the icon -> Properties menu on the bottom. Then, another menu box will appear. Here you can see several tab, starting with General, Computer Name, Hardware, System Restore and Automatic Updates. Click Automatic Updates tab -> click turn off button to disable Automatic Update function. Click OK button for the change to take effect.
